Sun Lakes Camera Club Meeting & Pizza Social Minutes April 5, 2018
Burt welcomed members and introduced guests.
Reminded that the Club EOY Banquet will be held on April 19th. Choices for dinner are beef or chicken and cost is $15.00 pp. Members were asked to please pay and confirm attendance with Jan Williams, in Karen Melching’s absence. Reminder to start thinking about submitting the ‘best of your best’ for the EOY Competition. Guidelines for entering images have been posted on the website.

This meeting was also the ‘Annual Meeting’ where members will be voting for next year’s officers. The Nominating Committee, John Livoti and Lynn Thompson made note of the nominations provided at the March meeting and, asked the members to vote. All members present voted unanimously with no objections. The new President; Jan Ballard, Vice President; Rob Baldwin, Treasurer; Karen Melching, Secretary; John Thoma, Past President; Burt Williams. Lynn Thompson will continue as ACCC Representative, the Competition Committee Chair will be Wayne Divoky. Raul Lopez will be the new PSA Club Representative replacing John Livoti. Respective duties will be assumed on the first day of May.
Member were asked by show of hands If they would be hanging around during the summer and if they had suggestion for programs, field photo trips, dinner out combined with sunset photos to please talk to Jan Ballard or Rob Baldwin or, email. The May meeting will be held at the Goldfield Ghost Town (Apache Junction) with a dinner there first and then photo shoot throughout the town. The provision being that NO pictures can be sold but you can compete with them.
Following the pizza, members proceeded to the mentored tables where rotating subjects and techniques for the first half of the year were presented and discussed; Photo Travel, Still Life, High Key, Sunrise Sunset, Nature, Night Photography, Submitting Images and Mounting Images for Competitions
